Is there anybody out there?

Have you ever tried to find a contact lens in your back yard, on the lawn, right next to the dog’s dinner bowl at about 8pm in the winter with the light from your mobile telephone? If you have, then you’ll know what I’m talking about here.

I’m looking for a Unix Integration Specialist, and I can’t figure out what’s happened to them all.
I’m looking for someone who knows lots about Unix (Solaris, AIX) incl. shell scripting, VB, Perl, C++, has solid experience with a RDBMS (Sybase, Oracle…), good communication skills,  and is basically a nice person who doesn’t need to be hidden in the back closet.

Sounds easy, doesn’t it.

Well, I don’t know. I’m stumped.
What’s happened to our wonderful world of heterogeneous platforms and system specialists sporting glasses taped together with band-aids? Has something changed? Something I missed?

Help me here, guys.
